Every gemstone begins its story deep within the Earth. Angeline's work begins by honoring that story.
This one-of-a-kind ring features a natural rose cut Montana sapphire with beautiful blue-green coloring, set in solid sterling silver.
What makes this ring especially distinctive is its organic, hand-sculpted setting. Rather than surrounding the sapphire with a conventional symmetrical mounting, Angeline created the silver around the individual shape and character of this stone. The sculptural prongs rise organically around the sapphire, framing it while allowing much of the gemstone to remain visible.
The rose cut adds broad, subtle facets that catch the light differently as the ring moves, while the sapphire's natural inclusions and variations remain visible beneath the surface. These characteristics are part of the gemstone's natural formation and make this sapphire completely individual.
Each setting begins as an original hand-carved wax sculpture before being cast using the ancient lost wax casting process. Every prong is individually shaped and finished by hand.
The result is not simply a sapphire placed into a predetermined setting—the gemstone and setting become one original piece.
